Dr. Therese T. Chu was born and raised in Southern California. She completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. She was guided by a mentor and relative to become a dentist. She received her doctorate degree at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in New York. She has always loved children; therefore she decided to pursue a career in pediatric dentistry. She completed her post doctorate in pediatric dentistry at the University of Southern California. While at USC, she gained experiences in managing young children and learned the latest techniques in pediatric dentistry. She believes dentistry is a life long learning process, she constantly furthering her knowledge through continuing education.
Dr. Chu’s priority is to ensure her patients have a positive and pleasant dental experience. In some situations, she will work with a pediatric anesthesiologist to provide comfort for her patients. She is a current member of American Dental Association (ADA), the Virginia Dental Society, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is committed to giving back to her community; she volunteers at the Northern Virginia Dental clinic. In her spare time, she enjoys, cooking, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
